Concern is in ladies between 15-28 years of age . also i would like to know the prevalence of breast cancer in ladies between 15-28 years of age attending mulago cancer institute in uganda

I don?t have the figures you want.

But I can tell you that in the age range you are looking at breast cancer is extremely rare, wherever you are.

It is almost unheard of in under 20s, and fewer than 0.1% of all those diagnosed with it are under 30.

In a country like Uganda the percentage of young women diagnosed with breast cancer may be higher ? NOT the number, the percentage ? simply because average life expectancy for a female is in the early 50s, and breast cancer is a disease of ageing, most common in women over 50.

In western countries 80% of all those diagnosed with breast cancer are over 50.
