(AP) ? Back and forth they went in overtime, Rajon Rondo and the Miami Heat.

Rondo scored. The Heat answered. Then again. And again.

Eventually, Rondo missed, one of the rare times he didn't deliver on an unforgettable night. Moments later, the Heat took the lead for good, finally able to close out a wild Game 2 of the Eastern Conference finals.

LeBron James scored 34 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, Dwyane Wade scored eight of his 23 points in the extra session and the Heat rallied from 15 down to beat the Boston Celtics 115-111 on Wednesday night ? taking a 2-0 lead in the series by pulling off the biggest comeback in franchise postseason history.

"One of the best games I've played in, win or lose," Heat forward Shane Battier said. "It's easier said when you win ? but it's unbelievable."

Rondo scored all 12 of Boston's points in overtime, capping a 44-point, 10-assist, eight-rebound effort in which he played every second of a 53-minute game. The Heat expected Boston's best ? and the Celtics didn't disappoint, yet still head home for Game 3 on Friday night facing a deficit no Boston team has rallied from to win a series since 1969.

"Listen, we played terrific," Celtics coach Doc Rivers said. "I told them, we played extremely hard. I thought we played with great heart tonight, but I didn't think we played smart all the time. And there's things we can absolutely fix, and we'll do that. We'll be ready for Friday."

Mario Chalmers scored 22 for the Heat, who took 47 free throws ? 24 by James ? to Boston's 29.

"This group had resolve," Wade said of the Celtics. "They came out and played a great game. It was physical early. They brought the game to us. That can't happen. We used our crowd and the energy to get back into the game and we had to play better."

Paul Pierce scored 21 points, Kevin Garnett added 18 and Ray Allen 13 for Boston. Rondo finished 16 of 24 from the floor, 10 of 12 from the foul line and made both his 3-point tries.

"He showed why he's one of the best point guards in this league," Chalmers said.

Rondo shrugged off his night.

"We lost," Rondo said. "Simple as that."

Allen's 3-pointer with 34.3 seconds left tied the game at 99-all. James missed two shots, first a layup ? he got the rebound of his own miss ? and then a jumper on the final possession of regulation, and to overtime they went.

"We had to do it the tough way," Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said.

The Heat had come back to win from 14 points down in playoff games twice before, first in Game 6 of the 2006 NBA finals ? their title clincher ? and again last season against Philadelphia.

And this one was slipping away, more than once. James missed two free throws 21 seconds into overtime, and Miami looked in trouble, especially since Rondo was simply taking over.

When Rondo missed a layup ? he thought he was fouled, and the Celtics agreed ? with 1:33 left, Miami took advantage, with Udonis Haslem getting a dunk to put the Heat up 105-103. And after a turnover on the next Boston possession, Wade drove the lane, hit the deck and watched as his layup bounced on the rim and dropped through.

Garnett stood over Wade and glared, to no avail. Wade hit the free throw, and Miami was up 110-105 with 59.7 seconds left. By then, the no-call on Rondo had the Celtics seething.

"It was obvious," Rondo said.

Added Allen: "We all thought he got hit. I'll say it. He did, but what can you do about it?"

Miami was down by 15 in the first half and by as many as 11 in the third quarter, before a pair of 3-pointers by James started a comeback. Wade made consecutive jumpers midway through the third to shake off a slow start to his night and get the Heat within three both times, and the 2006 NBA finals MVP set up Haslem for a three-point play with 2:55 left that gave Miami its first lead since the opening minutes, 73-71.

As Haslem's shot dropped, Wade spun at midcourt and punched the air. More highlights followed.

Miami's lead got to as much as seven in the third after James blocked Pierce's shot near the rim, sending the ball high into the air and starting a sequence that was capped by a three-point play from Wade, pushing the margin to 78-71. It capped a 12-0 run for the Heat, who took an 81-75 lead into the fourth.

It was the fifth straight game where Miami outscored its opponent by double-digits in the third quarter. In each of the previous four of those outings, Miami never trailed in the final period.

That streak ended in this one.

"It's been very key for us, whether we're up, whether we're down, to win that quarter," Wade said. "But in the fourth quarter, even when we were down, we felt like we were close enough. ... We never felt like we were out of it."

They weren't out of it ? but a call that Boston argued against played a big role in the Celtics getting the lead back.

James stole the ball from Rondo early in the fourth, drove down the court and got wrapped up by Pietrus, who was assessed a clear-path foul, meaning Miami got two free throws and the ball. James missed both foul shots, Mike Miller missed a 3-pointer later in the possession, and the lead stayed at 85-81.

Barely a minute later, it was gone. Pietrus hit a 3-pointer, Rondo followed with a steal and layup and Boston led 86-85. The Celtics led by five with 3:50 left after a jumper by Pierce, and the Celtics looked to be in control.

It was temporary. The Heat scored the next nine points, Haslem's jumper with 1:08 remaining put Miami up 98-94. So of course, back came Boston ? Allen's 3-pointer tying the game a few moments after Pierce fouled out.

"Rondo was absolutely amazing," James said. "The performance he put on tonight will go down in the record books. ... It was a battle, and we never felt like we won the game or lost the game when there were zeros on the clock."

NOTES: Celebrities in attendance included UCLA coach Ben Howland, rapper Flo Rida and former Dolphins quarterback Dan Marino, a regular in the Heat crowd. ... Celtics F Greg Stiemsma had four fouls in the first quarter, the first NBA player to do that since 2009. ... Rondo's only other 22-point first half was Feb. 22, 2009 at Phoenix. ... Allen, considered one of the game's absolute best shooters for many years, said he's been getting plenty of unsolicited advice lately on how to get rolling again. "I've only been doing this for 20 years," Allen said at the morning shootaround. ... Haslem (6) had more rebounds than Boston (5) in the third quarter. ... Heat C Ronny Turiaf started, played the first 4:51 and did not return. Joel Anthony started the second half in Turiaf's place.

Column: Winning's grand, entertaining is enough

CHICAGO (AP) ? The Cubs skulked back into town with their tails between their legs and plenty to answer for.

Then Monday dawned hot and hazy and by mid-afternoon, the sun was shining, the cold beer was flowing, the wind was blowing out and a fleet of baseballs hitched a ride on the jetstream over the walls at Wrigley Field. By the time the accounting was done, the Cubs had half of the eight home runs and an 11-7 win over the equally hapless Padres.

Throw in a pre-game flight by the eagle Challenger and a seventh-inning rendition of "Take Me Out to the Ball Game" by actor Brian Dennehy ? in town starring in the play, "The Iceman Cometh" ? and it was entertaining enough to send fans out the door wondering where the party was relocating and exactly what they were so upset about in the first place.

Cubs manager Dale Sveum wasn't about to remind them.

"Let's not kid yourself. You lose 12 in a row, you finally win. It's a big relief," he said afterward

Just don't count on celebrating for long. Even in bad years, the Cubs usually don't swoon until June. This year they couldn't even make it to Memorial Day. At this rate, they could be mathematically eliminated by the Fourth of July.

The last six of the Cubs' dozen straight losses came during a seven-day road trip at NL Central rivals Houston and Pittsburgh, two of the only half-dozen or so teams Chicago actually has a chance against. It was like being told to bring back dinner and spending all night at the bar instead, then returning empty-handed and praying fans hadn't changed the locks on the gates at Wrigley Field.

"Patience is something a lot of fans don't have," Sveum had said Sunday in Pittsburgh.

Yet he marveled the way Cubs fans had stuck by his team thus far.

"We all understand -- I'm a huge football fan and I don't understand the Oakland Raiders losing every game. That's the way it is."

In Chicago, maybe.

Even so, Theo Epstein wasn't inclined to press his luck. His title with the Cubs is president of baseball operations, but Chicagoans think of Epstein as the boy genius-general manager who ended the Red Sox' decades-long World Series drought and was brought to town to repeat the trick here. Never mind that he preached patience upon his arrival last October and despite his best efforts, still has only two everyday ballplayers ? Starlin Castro and David DeJesus ? who could start for most clubs, a barely adequate rotation and a mess in the bullpen.

Even Epstein made it sound like he didn't sign on for this.

"I think we're clearly better than this ... on both fronts, short- and long-term, there's work to do," he said at a hastily arranged news conference.

Unfortunately, though beyond "start scrapping and keep grinding for pride," Epstein was short on specifics on how to improve things over the short term.

"Long term," he added, not much more optimistic, "it underscores the magnitude of the job here and sort of how far we need to go to get where we want to be."

At a century and still counting, Cub fans are either the dopiest of most patient bunch in sports. And over the course of all that losing, they've learned to savor the distractions that are often more interesting than anything the team has been able to cobble together on the field. That's why they happily blame black cats, real goats and imaginary scapegoats like Steve Bartman for the ballclub's unending run of futility.

Winning is great, but in these parts entertaining is still good enough.

Last week's brouhaha was over whether Joe Ricketts, the conservative patriarch of TD Ameritrade and the family that owns the Cubs, was really planning to finance a nasty political attack campaign against President Barack Obama ? and whether that would make it harder for the Cubs to gain concessions to modify Wrigley Field from the city's staunchly Democratic mayor, Rahm Emanuel, and the city council.

The week before that, it was the nostalgia kicked up by the retirement of one-time pitching phenom Kerry Wood and an essay in The Wall Street Journal calling for the destruction of Wrigley Field, suggesting the aging shrine was actually the reason for all that losing:

"Destroy it. Annihilate it. Collapse it with the sort of charges that put the Sands Hotel out of its misery in Vegas. Implosion or explosion, get rid of it. That pile of quaintness has to go. ... When a house is haunted, you don't put in a new scoreboard, add ivy, get better food or bigger beers_you move!"

Sounding more like a fan than the Cubs left-fielder, Alfonso Soriano considered the option for the briefest of moments.

"Leave this place? No, never," he said after going 3 for 4 with a homer and three RBIs. "You saw how much it was jumping when we got it going. Let's see what can happen now. We just had some tough moments before."

Which is, give or take a few years, is how the Cubs still refer to the last century.

3DS Mod - Can Debtors Afford Bankruptcy? Finding LowCost ...

There appears palpably inside the environment, one ominous more burden for the average intensely indebted American debtor and consumer inside todays dire nationwide financial conditions whom will perhaps see his only recourse for several relief, inside filing bankruptcy: acquiring low-cost bankruptcy, acquiring low-cost bankruptcy which you can afford. Meaning, inside essence, a non-lawyer professional se alternative.

The current figures just released by the Administrative Office of the U.S. Bankruptcy Courts on the February 2009 bankruptcy filings, made one vital fact crystal well-defined to nearly every one, namely, which the pace at which the increasingly overburdened and restive American borrowers both people and businesses are filing for bankruptcy, is at its highest degrees since the now-famous or infamous, many would state! draconian changes of 2005 to the U.S. bankruptcy law. However, actually more greatly, which the new filing rate is ominously beginning to return to the older ?hated? excellent bankruptcy filing degrees which the country had hit before which new law was passed inside 2005, supposedly meant to correct and drastically curtail or reverse the then pre-existing excellent filing degrees.

This current trend inside American debtor bankruptcy filings strongly underscores a limited fundamental things, and others. First, the detail and gravity of the financial straights and difficulties inside that the average American consumer and debtor is in today. Second, the fact which, regardless how complicated a legal challenge and hindrance the institutional powers which be the Congress, the lawyers, or the financial institutions, the courts, etc will try to put on the route of the American borrowers to try discouraging or creating it more challenging to them inside seeking the bankruptcy relief of their debt problems, whenever it really comes time of dire financial and financial crisis, Americans may somehow nonetheless find a way, and may nonetheless persevere and persist actually against all chances, inside demanding their constitutional liberties to be heard inside bankruptcy; and thirdly, the critical necessity, for the average debtor, for acquiring low-cost bankruptcy filing alternatives to representative.

Elizabeth Warren, a Harvard Law School professor and author of several books on bankruptcy, probably sums up the aim best this technique, alluding to the persuasion of the Congress by various particular interests to pass the 2005 law which restricted borrowers from filing for bankruptcy: ?The credit business [and other vested interests] did its best to drive up the price of filing [for bankruptcy]. But when families are inside sufficient trouble, they may battle their technique from the paper ticket and higher attorneys costs to get aid,? adding which ?The term has become leaking out [once again] which the bankruptcy courts are open for business.?

THE ?UNOFFICIALLY BANKRUPT DEBTORS? ? DEBTORS WHO CANT FILE BECAUSE THEY CANT AFFORD IT

But, actually many importantly than which, within the standpoint of the average bankruptcy-seeker today, this raises one fundamental queries, however. Namely, just how do the present growing army of increasingly despairing American borrowers whom not merely seek to file for individual or business bankruptcy, employing a lot of cases, truly NEED to file one, AFFORD to file bankruptcy ? inside certain, the excellent lawyers legal expense of filing for bankruptcy? How do these borrowers get or find low-cost bankruptcy? A bankruptcy which borrowers may reasonably afford?

Some one.1 thousand one,064,000 American borrowers recorded for bankruptcy this past 2008 year ? filings that, many analysts are rapid to prompt us, were carried out by these borrowers despite, and below tough conditions of, a whole host of stringent, restrictive specifications and drastically improved legal costs imposed by the 2005 law. But, actually more immense, within the stand aim of the debtor or bankruptcy-seeker, is another closely connected FACT: which, worse nonetheless, according to specialists, THERES NEARLY AS MANY AMERICAN DEBTORS MORE whom planned to file for bankruptcy and are suitable, however, can not, considering they merely couldnt AFFORD the lawyers legal costs. These are borrowers whom Justin Harelik, a bankruptcy representative with Price Law inside Los Angeles, call the ?unofficially bankrupt debtors? ? borrowers that are all however, bankrupt however, just shortage the lawyers significant cost to create their status official!

EVEN THE LAWYERS AGREE, THEIR BIG FEES IS A PROBLEM WITH DEBTORS

In deed, though many bankruptcy lawyers would quite it be sugar-coated, other lawyers, themselves, objectively acknowledge which the lawyers legal costs for bankruptcy is a principal frequent problem and concern to borrowers and clients inside bankruptcy law follow.

?You need to pay the Chapter 7 legal costs upfront inside cash. You are able to be too poor to go bankrupt,? is how Professor Robert M. Lawless of the University of Illinois College of Law once said.

Another observer, Jenny C. McCune, a contributing editor at Bankrate.com, notes which quite astoundingly, weve today come to the aim where a debtor will have to ?finance bankruptcy filing,? adds: ?It will sound like a Catch-22?you have zero money thus youre filing for bankruptcy, however you want [legal fee] money thus you can file for bankruptcy.?

Jonathan Ginsburg, bankruptcy lawyer, Atlanta, Ga., explains which inside phone conversations he usually has with callers facing extreme financial crises that are thinking potential bankruptcy, following their first doubt that is usually general inside type, ?The upcoming doubt I get has to do with fees: If I have zero money, how am I imagined to pay for a representative??

LAWYERS TRADITIONAL ARGUMENT FOR THEIR HIGH FEES

Bankruptcy lawyers, schooled inside the art of argumentation and the defense of actually the clearly indefensible, very whenever it centers on the security of a profitable signifies of creating a lifestyle, would usually plunge into what, inside essence, are really deep philosophical reasons inside justification of the excellent costs they charge ? it is actually really nonetheless a ?bargain? for borrowers, thinking about the much larger sums they stand to discharge inside bankruptcy; if your debtor is ?really? hard pressed sufficient by his debt burden and is ?serious? regarding freeing himself of it, hell somehow find a way; a debtor, when he or she is absolutely ?serious,? may always find the lawyers costs around by, state, withholding the installments he would have had to create to different lenders and then utilizing it to pay the representative to free him of the bigger debt burden, etc., etc. It is a complex web of reasons that would have to wait for a later date to address. However, for our present immediate purposes inside this particular article, the relevant problem is crystal well-defined. The aim, clearly, is the fact that for the average American debtor today, already bringing within the excellent debt burden that is the prime object hes out trying to address from bankruptcy filing, the average lawyers fee for bankruptcy several $2,000 or more for the easiest Chapter 7 bankruptcy, and $4,500+ for its Chapter 13 counterpart is excellent, inside deed actually excessive, and frequently is just plain beyond his signifies ? in a word, merely UNAFFORDABLE.

LAWYERS FEES HAVE ?PRICED OUT? A LOT OF DEBTORS

Seems which the bankruptcy lawyers, from greed and monopolistic instinct, are gradually pricing themselves from the individual bankruptcy filing business, which truly the only realistic alternative today left to be tried, appears to become a non-lawyer low-cost bankruptcy alternative.

?Surveys have shown which many attorneys have doubled their costs to deal with new specifications imposed by the BAPCPA of 2005. Many thousands of borrowers have consequently been priced from representative representation inside their bankruptcies,? claims Stephen Elias, a California lawyer and bankruptcy professional and author of several books on the subject. ?Because of rules regulating the follow of law, truly the only legal substitute for lawyer representation is self representation? bankruptcy petition preparers may assist with your paperwork.?

The aim then is crystal well-defined. The fundamental task at hand this extremely minute inside the field of bankruptcy, is devising a trustworthy program which is low-cost for filing bankruptcy, that is simple, simple, and readily accessible, and is, most importantly, AFFORDABLE to many borrowers whom legitimately seek or want bankruptcy and are qualified and suitable to file inside the given eligibility rules. It is, in the end, no ?gift? or some sort of ?favor? being meted out by ?the law,? or some sort of mercy-peddling do-gooders of the legal establishment. But, a direct sacred correct and present of the American Constitution.

It is a task that confronts us all, very the bankruptcy constituency and the bankruptcy business powers-that-be whom control the present bankruptcy program ? the financial and credit business, the courts, the Congress, however, including personal entrepreneurs and inspirations persons who is able to come up with new or fresh inspirations regarding how to correct the present broken individual bankruptcy program, and yes, the present bankruptcy lawyers and bar, and others.

But, of more immediacy and urgency inside the mean time, however, whilst you wait such a new program to be designed by the trustworthy parties, qualified American entrepreneurs, institutions and entities that are able, ought to be complimentary to create useful and beneficial means and methods ? alternatives to the present wholly deficient and limited lawyer-controlled bankruptcy program ? that allow legitimate bankruptcy seekers to exercise their legitimate constitutional correct to seek the bankruptcy relief alternative whenever and when mandatory ? merely and AFFORDABLY.

IN SUM

The point is the fact that, America, inside both its public and also personal fields, should quick prepare for, and create and apply, a drastically different however, beneficial bankruptcy filing program which provides the present thousand plus every year and the upcoming more millions of bankruptcy filers whom may be coming into the bankruptcy filing pipeline every year, a genuinely low-cost signifies to them to file for bankruptcy ? the one.4 thousand American filers or more which need to seek the bankruptcy relief inside 2009 calendar year alone, and beyond.

NEED FOLLOW-UP INFORMATION?

Installing skylights is a great way to save on energy bills because it cuts down on the use of lamps, and it will ensure that natural lighting comes through. Choosing to paint your living room warm and inviting colors such as orange, yellow, or light brown can create a feeling of warmth and light. Make sure to decorate with light wood colored furniture instead of dark and heavy oaks.

Wiring

Make sure that there is nelectrical wiringn any part of the structure that you plan on demolishing. You don?t want to start tearing something down only to discover something that may be too expensive to relocate. You may be in a hurry to start your project, but you don?t want any surprises later, so you need to take your time.

When looking for wise home improvement projects to undertake, consider adding a dedicated space for computer networking equipment. The electronic needs of the modern home are always growing. A clean, dry, well air-conditioned space, with easy access to electrical power and network wiring, will give current and future owners, a convenient hub for electronics wired throughout the house.
Electrical Wiring
Almost all DIY projects are pretty easy and self-explanatory. Most people can paint a room, clean storm windows, and make minor repairs. Be careful not to overextend your actual DIY abilities in more complex areas. Unless you really know what you are doing, you are likely to have trouble (and encounter danger) with projects such as DIY electrical wiring and DIY sewer line replacement. Call an expert!

Now that you have gathered the knowledge that is needed to complete home projects, gather the tools that you need to get going. If you find that you are stuck at some point of your project, take the time to re-read the information from this article to see if you can find the solution to the problem.

MDxHealth's ConfirmMDx(TM) for Prostate Cancer Test Helps to ...

IRVINE, Calif. LIEGE, Belgium, May 23, 2012 (BUSINESS WIRE) ?
Regulatory News:

MDxHealth
SA (nyse euronext:MDXH), a leading molecular diagnostic company that
develops and commercializes epigenetic tests to support cancer
treatment, today announced it has presented data demonstrating that its
epigenetic ConfirmMDx(TM) for Prostate Cancer test can aid urologists in
identifying patients who may avoid a repeat prostate biopsy.

In men suspected to have prostate cancer, the potential for
false-negative biopsy results is well documented in the literature.
Approximately twenty-five percent of men receiving a negative
histopathology result, the gold standard for diagnosis, could be
harboring occult cancer. Fear over this issue leads to additional
physician visits, screening, and repeat biopsies, often on
prostate-cancer-free men. MDxHealth?s ConfirmMDx test assesses the DNA
methylation status of genes associated with prostate cancer. The test
will help urologists differentiate patients with a true-negative biopsy
from those who may have cancer undetected by prostate biopsy and
histopathological review.

The data from the MATLOC (Methylation Analysis To Locate Occult Cancer)
study presented during the Late Breaking Science Forum yesterday at the
American Urology Association (AUA) Annual meeting in Atlanta, USA,
revealed that the ConfirmMDx for Prostate Cancer test is a powerful tool
to aid urologists in addressing false-negative biopsy concerns.

?With a high negative predictive value, exceeding that of standard
microscopic histopathology review, the MATLOC study results demonstrate
that the ConfirmMDx for Prostate Cancer test can help urologists confirm
true-negative biopsy results, providing peace-of-mind and reducing
unnecessary repeat biopsies,? explained principle investigator Dr. Grant
Stewart from the Edinburgh Urological Cancer Group at the University of
Edinburgh, who presented the data. ?The test will also help urologists
identify high-risk men who may have occult cancer, enabling more
effective triage of these patients with a repeat biopsy and treatment as
required.?

?These data confirm the high negative predictive value (NPV) and
clinical utility of the ConfirmMDx for Prostate Cancer genes and DNA
methylation technology previously reported in published studies. We
believe the test fulfills an unmet medical need, complementing the
current standard of care, and holds the potential to reduce unnecessary
invasive procedures and the associated healthcare expenditures. Prostate
biopsies pose significant risk of trauma and infection, at times
requiring hospitalization. As a consequence, approximately one-third of
men refuse to endure a repeat biopsy despite fear of a false-negative
result, leaving these men at risk for disease progression. ConfirmMDx, a
non-invasive assay performed on the residual prostate tissues from the
previous negative biopsy, provides critical insights beyond
histopathology to enable more informed patient management decisions,?
said Dr. Jan Groen, CEO of MDxHealth. ?We are pleased to announce that
ConfirmMDx for Prostate Cancer is now available to urologists directly
through MDxHealth?s state-of-the-art CLIA laboratory, and via our
co-marketing partner PLUS Diagnostics.?

Study Details

The multicenter MATLOC study involved 3 sites from the UK and Belgium,
testing tissue from initial negative biopsies and comparing assay
results to cancer detection in subsequent biopsies within 30 months
revealing either cancer (cases) or negative results (controls).
Individual prostate biopsies comprised 10 separate tissue cores on
average. ConfirmMDx for Prostate Cancer was used to analyze the
methylation status of a panel of validated biomarkers (GSTP1, APC
and RASSF1) in 4,681 archived prostate biopsy cores from 483 men
in a blinded fashion. Results demonstrated that the assay had a NPV of
90%

Application of this assay to initial, negative prostate biopsies
accurately identified over two-thirds of patients who had cancer
detected on a subsequent prostate biopsy, while correctly confirming
negative findings in approximately two-thirds of men who were
cancer-free in a subsequent prostate biopsy. The high NPV of 90%
indicates this assay could help avoid unnecessary repeat prostate
biopsies.

Approximately 60% of positive assay results were indicated by one
methylated gene while the remaining 40% of cases displayed two or more
methylated genes. Univariate analyses identified that the methylation
panel was a significant predictor of prostate cancer diagnosis. These
findings were confirmed with a multivariate logistic regression,
correcting for PSA, age, digital rectal examination results prior to
initial biopsy and histopathological findings of this biopsy.

The study entitled ?Clinical utility of a multiplexed epigenetic gene
assay to detect cancer in histopathologically negative prostate
biopsies: results of the multicenter MATLOC study?, was presented by
Dr. Grant Stewart from the Edinburgh Urological Cancer Group at the
University of Edinburgh, on Tuesday, May 22, 2012 during the late
breaking science session. Abstracts from the conference are available
online.

About
ConfirmMDx for Prostate Cancer

Over 650,000 American men receive a negative prostate biopsy result each
year; however approximately 25-35% of these results are false negative.
Under the current standard of care, prostate biopsy procedures collect
10-12 needle biopsy cores on average, effectively sampling less than 1%
of a man?s prostate. This approach leaves men at risk of occult cancer,
leading to a high rate of repeat biopsies, often on prostate-cancer-free
men. There is an unmet medical need for a clinically effective
diagnostic test to address this dilemma. ConfirmMDx for Prostate Cancer
is an epigenetic assay to help distinguish patients who have a
true-negative biopsy from those at risk for occult cancer. The test
helps urologists rule out prostate cancer-free men from undergoing
unnecessary repeat biopsies and, helps rule in high risk patients who
may require repeat biopsies and potential treatment. The test is able to
detect an epigenetic field effect or ?halo? associated with the
cancerization process at the DNA level in cells adjacent to cancer foci.
This molecular ?halo? around a cancer lesion can be present despite
having a normal appearance under the microscope. Thus ConfirmMDx for
Prostate Cancer aids urologists in identifying men who may forego
unnecessary repeat biopsies.

Pangaea Beer & Food - Homebrewing, Cooking, Recipes ...

Homebrewing seems to have this uncanny ability to keep you humble (which is ironic, considering drinking has the opposite effect). ?Just when you think you've really mastered the craft, just when you start to get overconfident, it kicks you square in the nads and says, "Oh no, buddy, I own you!" ?Such was the case with this batch...?Say hello to the sad, sad remnants of my experimental Pseudo-Kvass, made with barley, wheat and rye malt, English hops, molasses, baker's yeast... and apparently, a shit load of carbonation.

I'm not sure exactly what went wrong here. ?Maybe my math was off? ?Maybe the bottles were overfilled? ?Maybe I read the hydrometer wrong? ?Who knows? ?All I know is that I received a phone call from my extremely patient mother, whose kitchen I borrow (and consequently demolish) for brewing. ?"James," she said. ?"I think your beer is exploding." ?Apparently her and my step-father sat down for a nice evening dinner, no doubt accompanied by the atypically social family cats, and were promptly?interrupted?by a series of shotgun-like blasts?emanating?from the depths of the dusty basement. ?I keep my fermenting and carbonating beer in a steel storage cabinet that I lifted from work (love me some freebies) to keep them out of the sun and away from the aforementioned nosy animals (who I've caught trying to drink spilled beer). ?When the bottles began to pop, the projectile shards slammed against the metal walls, creating an obnoxiously loud boom... over and over again.
Luckily, failed experiments don't bother me. I consider it a small price to pay for the massive benefit of occasionally successful experiments. ?I did, however, learn to take meticulous notes, so that the next time I screw the pooch I could at least figure out where said pooch-screwing?occurred and course correct moving forward. ?I have a few other beers in the line-up I want to attempt before I get around to this, but I think it's safe to say I'll give it another go in the near future.

The Difference Between An Email Copywriter and an SEO Copywriter

Copywriting was once a very coveted skill. Writers would hone their skills for years to develop the right mix of storytelling and emotion grabbing writing that sells a product.

However, after the Internet grew, developed, and became a medium for commerce, the need for copywriters grew. This brought a variety of other professionals to the craft ? including online editors, content marketers, and audience development professionals.

For the online business professionals who have been given the copywriting hat to wear, here are a few things to understand about copywriting.

Discover how to write for successful email marketing campaigns when you download our FREE Email Copywriting Basics white paper.

First, email copywriting and SEO copywriting are equally important online, yet they are slightly different than one another. Both begin with creating persuasive content that calls readers to action, yet has a flow that provides a good read.

One main difference between SEO copywriters and email copywriters is that SEO copywriters need to optimize their website copy for targeted keyword phrases. Email copywriters need to develop content that meets the requirements of email service providers and spam filters. This includes creating email subject lines that are interesting and engaging enough to persuade the recipient to open it. They also need to avoid using specific words that will cause the email to trigger a spam filter and not make it to the inbox. Email copywriters laying out snippet-based email newsletters also need to pick body copy that gets people to click links and visit the website.

Are you new to email copywriting or SEO copywriting? Please share your experience on developing your skills.

YouTube: 72 hours of video are uploaded every minute

4 hrs.

The YouTube team recently celebrated its 7th birthday, and announced an amazing statistic: 72 hours of video are uploaded to the site every minute. And if you think that's a lot, the amount of video being watched in that minute?is 1,000 times greater.

Just a few weeks ago the news that YouTube was doing 60 hours per minute created a sensation on the Internet, and this increase shows how fast the site continues to grow. We got a little more detail on these numbers from?Christian Kaiser, YouTube's engineering director.

The 72-hours figure is an average, of course: there are busy times and quiet periods as different time zones and regions wake up, upload video and log off. So although 72 hours per minute is a good way to sum it up, they might be processing far more than that at any given time.

And they're not flubbing the numbers, either. That 72 hour figure doesn't include the various versions that YouTube encodes ? high definition, 3-D, etc. People are simply uploading three times as much video as they were two years ago.

So what accounts for this huge increase in video? It's pretty much just more use across the board, says Kaiser:

We?ve got more video coming from more people in more places, as well as bringing in thousands of full-length films and original programming to YouTube. As examples, mobile now contributes to three hours of our total upload time, and we?ve signed MGM, Paramount, Walt?Disney Studios and other studios to bring thousands of movies to YouTube.

And how about viewership stats? They say that users are watching 3 billion hours of video every month. In case you're wondering, that's about 70,000 hours being watched each minute.

There's a lot of competition out there, though, and YouTube makes a big target. Facebook's own?video numbers are rising meteorically as well. Smaller and more specialized?sites like Vimeo and Ustream are growing quickly too, as more and better video is uploaded from DSLRs and mobile phone cameras. But with its existing popularity?and Hollywood?partners, YouTube probably still has a few good years left on top.

Easy Solutions For Do-It-Yourself Home Improvement

Help Your Home By Following These Great Home Improvement Tips

There are few, if any, homeowners who have never tackled home improvement. However, there are many places where a project can go wrong, especially for a novice homeowner. Read the following useful tips on planning a home improvement project that will be a success.

Before you purchase any wood stove for your living space, ensure that it has the EPA?s seal of approval. New models are all EPA certified. Old models should undergo testing to be sure they are EPA compliant. Carbon monoxide is also a concern when burning wood indoors, so carefully check all stoves for leaks.

If your room is small, or the ceilings are low to the ground, give them the illusion of space. Flood the room with light. Paint the walls a nice, bright color the grabs the eye. The trick to making the ceiling appear higher is to locate the drapes, valance, and curtain rod closer to the ceiling.

You can provide better security and improve your home?s exterior by having motion detecting lights installed. Motion detector lights turn on automatically when an intruder approaches, providing you with the element of surprise and saving you money on electricity! Intruders will be mindful of this when coming to your house, because they know that you?ll be aware of them if the lights turn on.

It is important to work on your home?s exterior appearance. Keep your yard nice by mowing the lawn and doing the edging. Plant some shrubs and make sure they are well placed. Clear your front walkway of leaves and debris. Power wash your roof and exterior walls. Thoroughly clean your windows. These acts leave your visitors with a good first impression.

If there are some cracks in the roof, buy a roll of tape made of aluminum. Place the sticky part of the tape on a surface that is clear of debris. The seal it creates will be waterproof.

Make the entryway to your home useful and attractive by adding essential items. Try a bench to sit on to take shoes off, coat rack, a mirror, and perhaps a basket or tray for keys. This not only adds some aesthetic appeal to the area, but it also helps to make your home functional.

If you are working on your home yourself, make sure to purchase high quality tools and supplies. It might be more expensive in the beginning, but it will save you money for years. Products that are high-quality generally last longer. Even though some quality tools can be a bit expensive, they save you a lot of money in the long run.

As you undergo a bathroom remodel, don?t forget to install adequate lighting. Lighting is just as important as the other fixtures in a bathroom remodel. Design so you can have lights that surround you mirrors and your medicine cabinet, and consider adding ceiling lights that take bulbs that are easily replaceable.

Having information on home improvement is your buffer between the scary unknown and the vision you have for your home. Just think of all of the benefits it has and all of the expenses it can take care of, along with all of the money it can save you in the long run.

Italy quake kills six, damages historic buildings

SANT' AGOSTINO, Italy (Reuters) - A strong earthquake in northern Italy killed at least six people, injured dozens and damaged historic buildings including a famed mediaeval castle early on Sunday, waking terrified citizens and sending thousands running into the streets.

The quake, which the U.S. Geological Survey recorded at magnitude 6.0, struck at 4:04 a.m. (0204 GMT) and was followed by a series of jolting aftershocks. At least two of them reached magnitude 5.1, sowing fresh panic, further damaging already weakened buildings and causing more structures to collapse.

"I am 83 and I have never felt anything like this," said Lina Gardenghi in the town of Bondeno, near Ferrara.

The epicenter of Italy's strongest quake in three years was near Modena in the Emilia-Romagna region of the Po valley. The tremors were more deadly than any since 2009 - when the central city of L'Aquila was devastated - and were felt as far away as regions bordering France in the west and Slovenia to the east.

Among the dead was a woman of 106, killed in her bed by a falling roof beam at her house in the countryside.

The tremors seriously damaged many historic churches and other buildings, adding up to the greatest loss to Italy's artistic heritage since an earthquake in 1997 ravaged the Basilica of St Francis in Assisi, where the ceiling collapsed.

On Sunday, the imposing 14th-century Estense Castle, symbol of the town of San Felice Sul Panaro and its most important building, was severely damaged.

The tops of several of its smaller towers collapsed and there were fears that the main tower, weakened by cracks, could tumble. Three of the town's churches were severely hit, damaging centuries-old frescoes and other works of art.

"We have practically lost all our artistic patrimony," said Alberto Silvestri, mayor of San Felice. "Churches and towers collapsed. The theatre is still standing but has cracks."

The quake left a gaping hole and gashes in the side of the Renaissance style town hall in Sant'Agostino, which officials said was in danger of total collapse. The town's streets were strewn with rubble and the stench of gas filled the town and raised fears of explosions.

Prime Minister Mario Monti cut short his trip to the United States and said the cabinet would declare a state of emergency, freeing up funds for quake relief.

NIGHT SHIFT DEATHS

Emergency service chief Franco Gabrielli said the death toll included five people killed directly by the quake and another who suffered a heart attack because of it. Officials said up to 3,000 people would not be able to return to their homes for the time being.

In Bondeno, a Moroccan man working a night shift in a polystyrene factory died when he was hit by falling debris.

A 57-year-old Italian was killed when part of an ironworks in Sant' Agostino collapsed, and two men were killed in the same town when part of a ceramics factory collapsed.

"He wasn't supposed to be there," the mother of one of the victims said. "He changed shifts with a friend who wanted to go to the beach."

A series of strong aftershocks hit the area, two having a magnitude of 5.1. Mayors ordered residents to stay outdoors pending checks by structural engineers and began preparations to house those who could not return to their homes.

The quake was centered 22 miles north-northwest of Bologna at a relatively shallow depth of 6.3 miles, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The last major earthquake to hit Italy was the 6.3 magnitude shock which killed nearly 300 people in L'Aquila in April 2009.

JPMorgan's Dimon to testify before Senate panel

By msnbc.com news services

Updated at 6:54 p.m. ET: JPMorgan Chase CEO?Jamie Dimon will be heading to Washington to?testify?before a Senate Committee investigating massive?trading losses recently?announced by the bank.

Senate Banking Committee Chairman Tim Johnson, D-S.D., said the panel?hold hearings on Tuesday and June 6 at which federal regulators will provide information on the trading loss, which has been put at?$2 billion and growing.

Dimon would testify at a third hearing sometime later, Johnson said.

"As always, we will continue to be open and transparent with our regulators and Congress," JP Morgan spokesman Kristin Lemkau said in a statement. She said Dimon has agreed to?appear before the panel.

Last week JPMorgan announced that it has suffered at least $2 billion in losses due to a "flawed" hedging strategy executed by its London-based chief investment office. The trades apparently were designed to protect against Europe-related credit risk.

Johnson said committee staff has been discussing the losses with regulators and the bank since they were disclosed.

"Our due diligence has made it clear that the Banking Committee should hear directly from JPMorgan Chase's CEO Jamie Dimon, and following our two Wall Street reform oversight hearings I plan to invite him to testify," he said in a statement.

Earlier this week Richard Shelby, the ranking Republican on the committee, said Dimon should testify before Congress.

Dimon this week apologized to the bank's shareholders for the loss.

"This should never have happened. I can't justify it. Unfortunately, these mistakes are self-inflicted," Dimon said at JPMorgan's annual shareholders meeting.?He later told reporters, "The buck always stops with me."

News of JPMorgan's trading loss has reinvigorated Democrats' push to strengthen a key rule mandated under the 2010 regulatory overhaul that would restrict banks from trading for their own profit.

Democratic lawmakers and other proponents say the trades that led to the losses at JPMorgan would have violated the so-called Volcker Rule.

Dimon has been among the most outspoken critics of the rule. He says the loss came from a hedging strategy that backfired, and not a bet with the bank's own money.

He and other bank executives successfully pushed for an exemption, which would allow banks to make trades for their own profit if they are hedging against risk.

On Thursday, Democratic Sens. Carl Levin of Michigan and Jeff Merkley of Oregon asked top federal regulators to strip the exemption from rule. Levin and Merkley were the original authors of the rule.

The Volcker Rule takes effect this July. Banks have two years to comply with the regulations.

Embattled JPMorgan Chase CEO and Chairman Jamie Dimon survived a vote that would have taken away his role as chairman of the company's board. Meanwhile, the Justice Department is launching an investigation into how the bank lost more than $2 billion from risky trades. NBC's Ann Thompson reports.

Tizen running on the Samsung Galaxy S2: A sneak peak at the Galaxy S4?

Last week we took a look into the hitherto mysterious world of Tizen, Samsung and Intel?s ace-in-the-hole operating system that looks set to replace Bada as the Android backup du jour. Now a video?s escaped of it running on a Galaxy S2. Is this the kind of smartphone experience Samsung?s working towards?

The video below shows some Tizen UI elements on a build that?s been stuffed inside a Samsung Galaxy S2. It shows a bunch of neat animations and effects built in HTML5, which aim to differentiate the fledgling OS from the rest of the pack.

Whether these flourishes add anything to the usability remains to be seen, but they sure look purrdy. As we mentioned last week, Tizen is being built by the boffins at Samsung, Intel and several other key partners, and will provide the Sammie a way to ween itself off Android?when the time?s right.

Whilst it?s fair to say that Samsung and Google?s?partnership?has proved mutually very successful, blights like the issue with upgrading software ? such as the Samsung Galaxy S2 Ice Cream Sandwich update, which took well over five months ? have caused Samsung some headaches.

Tizen: Everything you need to know

Samsung will no doubt be hoping that Tizen, shown here running on a modified Galaxy S2, can prove to be competent enough to power its next line of flagship phones, without the masses feeling the brunt of a shift in operating system.

To that end, news broke yesterday that Tizen will run Android apps without much fuss, allowing Samsung the ability to stock it with the complete Google repository on day one. That?s a powerful sell, and will avoid issues the likes of which Windows Phone is struggling with.

So, one obvious question remains: Is this what the Samsung Galaxy S4?s UI will look like?
